T&Cs

Swimfarms Ltd provides a purpose-built space for swimming education. Children and adults learn, develop and analyze swimming techniques in a controlled lesson environment taught by suitably qualified swimming teachers following the unique programme for Flowpools where the teacher is at the student's side at all times both in and out of the water.

In the case of a teacher being absent, either a replacement teacher will be provided or the value of the lesson(s) missed will be credited toward any future booking. Similarly, if Swimfarms Ltd is unable to provide the lesson for any other reason the lesson payment will be credited toward any future booking.

Parents/guardians of children attending lessons
Please remove any footwear or use the overshoes provided before entering the poolside and use the lockers for clothing and shoes once the children are changed.
Unless otherwise agreed, please observe the lesson from the viewing windows in reception. This is imperative in case of the unlikely event of a medical emergency, building evacuation or some other unforeseen situation.
Parents and/or guardians are responsible for any children they accompany to the centre. The teacher is responsible for his or her student(s) for the duration of the lesson.
Where the student attending the lesson is unaccompanied by a parent or guardian the student remains the full and sole responsibility of the parent at all times before and after the lesson.
Swimfarms Ltd retains a comprehensive Public Liability Insurance Policy, a copy of which is displayed in the swim centre office.

Booking and Payment
A contract comprising these terms and conditions exists when your booking is made.
You will receive confirmation with details of your booking. If anything is incorrect please contact us straight away.
All correspondence will be with the person named on the confirmation invoice who accepts the following conditions on behalf of all participants.
The swim centre’s dates and schedule are determined by consulting the London School Authority calendar and also local schools. The swim centre endeavours to accommodate our customers, but cannot guarantee that our term dates will marry up with all schools and suit all customers. There are no weekly lessons in half-term breaks, school holidays and bank holidays. (See Half-term and Holiday courses.)
Enrolment for classes can be made any week of the year. From commencement date these are consecutive weeks until the term's end. The agreed start date cannot be varied once the booking has been completed
Payments can be made either by cheque or cash and should be received either before or on commencement of the lesson(s).

Renewing a term-time booking
We will contact you around three weeks before the current term ends offering the opportunity to continue for the following term(s).
Please note that if confirmation of a place for the following term is not received before the deadline date or if payment for the course is not received on the starting date then the place may be made available for rebooking

Cancelling Courses
Term-time courses can be cancelled with a full refund if two weeks’ notice is received.
If less than two weeks notice is received the fee for two lessons will be deducted from the refund.
If, for medical reasons, you need to cancel lessons during a Term-time course refer to the section on postponing lessons below.

Half-term and Holiday courses can be cancelled without penalty if seven working days notice is received. If less than seven working days is received the fee for one lesson will be deducted from the refund. No refund will be given if cancellation is made once the course has started.

One-off lesson bookings can be postponed if we receive twenty four hours notice. We will postpone the lesson and credit your account with the payment, which can then be used toward any future booking made within the following eight weeks. If no notification of your inability to attend is received we
are unable to offer any compensation.

Triathlete Swimming Courses can be postponed in the same way as the half-term/holiday lessons above.
Please note that Swimfarms Ltd reserves the right to cancel or amend lessons and courses in exceptional circumstances.

Postponing Lessons
If your child is unable to attend lessons for medical reasons, you can, on production of a medical certificate, postpone the lessons for a minimum of four consecutive weeks in any one term. The postponed lesson payments will be credited to your account for future use.
Please note that, owing to limited availability, it may not be possible to resume the lessons on a particular date. Instead, the student will be placed on the waiting list and you will be contacted when a suitable place becomes available. Postponed lessons must be used by the end of the next term.
When re-booking your postponed lessons, if they are to be part of a course, the credited lesson payments will be deducted from the course fee.
Rearranging the postponed lessons is only possible once the period of postponement has ended.

Returned Payments
There is an administrative charge of £10.00 where a cheque is returned unpaid by your bank.
In circumstances where a payment is returned, we reserve the right to suspend lessons until the returned amount is repaid in full.
